Former President Donald Trump stated on the weekend that he has invited the relatives of a Guard member tragically killed last week to attend the presidential home.
He added that he contacted her family and they were “heartbroken”.

The commander-in-chief said he’s talked about a meeting at the presidential residence for the loved ones of both individuals of the West Virginia Guard.
“I stated: ‘When you’re able, because that’s a difficult moment, come to the White House. We’re going to honor Sarah,” Trump addressed journalists. “And likewise with him, no matter the outcome.”

Community members came together over the past few days at the high school in the state to remember Beckstrom.
Both the soldiers had been serving with the state guard as part of Trump’s government program to support law enforcement in Washington DC.

“Sarah was the type of pupil that educators hoped for. She carried herself with inner fortitude, a contagious smile and a positive energy that inspired people around her,” the principal, the head of her previous school, stated to the media. “She was caring, compassionate and always willing to assist people.”

Authorities have charged a twenty-nine-year-old individual from Afghanistan with one count of murder and charges of attempted murder while armed.

Sarah, from Summersville, graduated from Webster County High in 2023 and began her service not long after, serving as a law enforcement officer with distinction, as stated by the West Virginia National Guard.
“She had a lot of kindness and she definitely had courage,” Morrisey informed the gathering at the service. “Though her time was cut short, she has made an impact that’s going to endure.”
